Do you have New Year’s Resolutions or Evolutions?

The New Year is traditionally a reflection of achievements, failures and the start of new beginnings for the year ahead.
Are you a planner or organizer? Do you buy the next year calendar months before the new year? Are you one to create to-do lists, goals and resolutions? Yes! And, for those of you who really know us, we know, ‘Yes!’.. is an understatement.
Each New Year we have a list of to-dos, goals and resolutions – we also have had in years past a word that we feel will resonate the year, like the year of ‘grit’ or ‘strength’. Maybe it’s silly but it has given us focus to reach these dream destinations in our life. But, this year we have felt.. well, a different feeling. This year we’ve felt this overwhelming feeling of not resolutions or things we need to fix, start new or start over which are more harsh but rather… evolve.
Evolution can be a word with negative connotation, however the word [EVOLVE] has a relationship with each and everyone of us. Evolve is a process of change. We have all evolved into the people we are today through experiences and tests of time.
So, 2023. We, the Hulberts and Hometown Wine Company, will continue to evolve, change, achieve goals and grow from the simple to the complex. We are excited to see where this year takes us.
Hometown Wine Company | 2023 Purpose, Place & Passion
1. Our Presence and Offerings
We have been ‘smart at work’ switching gears a bit (and will continue!) on our vision for our website and social presence. You will be seeing a shift in offerings including discontinuing our in-home experiences, limiting our additional procurement of goods for our Online Store and focusing helping wineries grow and bloom. Our Winemaker’s Bootcamp Series wasn’t a big enough success to continue (..don’t worry, you didn’t hurt our feelings!) so, we’ve done a hard pivot to use those energies and information to write an e-Book for those industry folks. As this little company continues to grow and change – we will too! Stay tuned.
2. Our Travel
We get giddy when planning where to go next. Barcelona? Bali? New Zealand? In 2023, we are prepping to renew our passports so we are ready to jump at the first deal. Let’s be honest, traveling is expensive! As we navigate through our children’s needed trips to National Parks, traveling to see family and business consulting we plan to go on at least one ‘just the two of us’ trip.. aside from the occasional more local weekenders (wink, wink).
3. Our Wine
Ahhhh! We can’t wait. We are working very hard on our 2022 Vintages of Vermentino, Rosé of Cabernet and Cabernet Sauvignon. Currently we are working on packaging and hope to bottle the Vermentino and Rosé in February and the Cabernet Sauvignon by December 2023. When will these beauties be released? We’re going to keep you on the edge of your seat – stay tuned. Plus, we’re already thinking ahead to the 2023 Harvest and of course, government licensing! We’ll have a glass to that!
4. Our Position
Our position is to always stay true to ourselves. We hope that you continue to follow the Hometown Wine Company adventure through 2023.
How will you [evolve] in 2023?
We want to hear… @hometownwinecompany
